I'm sad this is the end of the series!

I'm sad this is the end of the series! I always wish authors would let you read about what happenes to the character's once the goal is accomplished..... Like did they ever get to live in the farm and what was the outcome of the royals tribunal?
Other than that, I ABSOLUTELY 100% loved this series! Violet Lasting is such an inspiring character, and really motivated me to live life to the fullest & treat others with kindness.
I loved the world Amy Ewing created in this series. It was very ea sy to see similarities to certain aspects of life today as we know it and it makes me want to make a difference like Violet, Raven, Lucien, Sil and everyone involved with the Paladin or Black Key uprising!

Rushed conclusion to the series

I agree with a few other reviews that this book felt rushed. For me it wasn't just the ending either. Some parts of the book I felt my eyes glazing over or me just skimming through a paragraph because the author wasn't really doing anything to build up the scene, it was like a rush through of certain parts. Then with the ending there really was so much more that could have been written about- maybe even another book on their new lives! This was a great series but I finished the book quickly during two layovers and flights.

I recommend this series, I was just disappointed at this finale, I felt the author rushed through writing this.

A Can't miss series!!

Amy Ewing is new to me. In 5 books, she has made me a fan!! Her writing style swiftly transports you to wherever she is writing, in this case, the Jewel. Her descriptions are so vivid without taking away from the story. I can see everything the character sees and hear them beside me. Such a great writer!!

Ok... on this book.

I love the struggles the surrogates and The Society goes through and the failures of some plans. This book opens a surprise with an even bigger surprise ending. You HAVE TO catch this series!!

Thanks Amy for a great series!! Looking forward to more!!

The only reason we know the story of the Exodus happened in Egypt is because the Bible says so. We keep on believing that is the case because mainstream Egyptologists just went along with the Biblical narrative and absentmindedly designated Egypt’s Kings as Pharaohs. But if we examined the Hebrew text the Bible (currently in our hands) used as a reference we will strangely not find Egypt mentioned in it as the site/land of the Exodus story. The whole mess/deception took place during translating the Hebrew/Aramaic stories into Greek back in the third century BC. This is when Egypt was first hijacked and forcibly placed in the Hebrew Bible as the theater of the Israelite landmark stories. Ironically this whole act of duplicity took place on Egyptian soil and specifically at its legendary library of Alexandria.
But what if the Bible as we know it has long been tampered with?

Of all the claims and evidence put forward by the author, one thing sticks with me more than any other and that is "Egypt and Egyptians were mentioned in the Bible around seven hundred times. Could you imagine that, seven hundred times and not even once the pyramid, the wonder of antiquity, was referred to in the Israelite stories". All throughout history any person of who has been to Egypt have always mentioned the Pyramids in their writings, the bible is the only book that doesn't. For me that makes it clear that the stories did not take place in that part of the world as stated by the bible.

A profound revision of Old Testament facts

Dr. Ezzat's new book is a game changer in that it challenges the mainstream version of Old Testament scholarship by insisting Egyptian records show no knowledge of the Israelites, which casts serious doubt on the traditional Jewish history that Joseph was sold into slavery in Egypt, and Moses later led the Israelites out of Egypt to the Promised Land in Palestine. The author makes a strong case that events typically portrayed as happening in Egypt really took place in southwestern Arabia. His use of the testimony of established Egyptologists make a convincing case that when the Old Testament was translated into Greek in the second century BC, the 70 rabbis who did the translating gave the Hebrews a much more important role in history than they actually had, and badly slandered the Egyptians as immoral slave owners, which was something they had never been. This is a must read for those who want to debunk the phony Jewish assertions in the Old Testament.

All they did was change a few words but it was easy to spot

My hat off to you also Dr. Ezzat! Finally someone has come out with true history that can be traced. I just read your book and it confirmed what I have been thinking ever since I read the Sumerian Tablets...I saw huge copyright issues with the Torah/Bible OT right away.. I thought wow the Tablets make the Bible make sense..:) Well of course they did word for word almost. All they did was change a few words but it was easy to spot. Makes sense why they won't let anyone into Saudi Arabia where they say are the remains of an alter that they think may have been in the desert where the Israelites were supposed to have been. The Elite are destroying everything in the Middle East to wipe out any evidence so that when they bring in their one world Religion they will be able to draw everyone under one mass religious control. Most are ignorant of any real history of their own faith's that they will be sucked in without mercy. Thank you for confirming what I had already believed; like you said the religions of the Jewish people Torah and the Arab people are just to close not to be one and the same. That has bothered me for a long time.. I had come to the conclusion that Rome had had their hands in it but it is just as you have stated. I will pass this book to as many people as I can to wake up the masses so their can finally be PEACE in the world.

Yet the role of institutions is negligible both in general equilibrium theory and in most neoclassical economic models. There is a burgeoning substantive interest in institutions ranging from social movements, to formal organizations, to states, and even international regimes.

Rational choice theorists have made great strides in elucidating the effects of institutions on a variety of social outcomes, but they have paid insufficient attention to the social dynamics that lead to the emergence of these institutions. Typically, these institutions have been assumed to be a given, rather than considered as outcomes requiring explanation in their own right. Sociological theorists, in contrast, have long appreciated the role of social structural constraints in the determination of outcomes but have neglected the role of individual agents.

Michael Hechter is professor emeritus in the department of Sociology at the University of Washington. He is the author of numerous books. He became an Elected Fellow to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences in 2004 and has been featured in Who's Who. He is also currently on editorial boards for a numerous amount of journals.

Karl-Dieter Opp is professor of sociology at Univesitat Leipzig. He has been a Fellow of the European Academy of Sociology since 1999 and has been member of the Council and Treasurer since 2000. He is also current on the advisory board for the magazine Mind and Society.

Reinhard Wippler is professor of theoretical sociology at the University of Utrecht and scientific director of the Interuniversity Center for Sociological Theory and Methodology.

About the Author

Wilda Rinehart Gardner received an Associate Degree in Nursing from Northeast Mississippi Community College in Booneville, Mississippi. After working as a staff nurse and charge  nurse, she became a public health nurse and served in that capacity for a number of years. In 1975, she received her nurse practitioner certification in the area of obstetrics-gynecology from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi. In 1979, she completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Mississippi University for Women. In 1980, she completed her Master of Science degree in Nursing from the same university and accepted a faculty position at Northeast Mississippi Community College, where she taught medical-surgical nursing and maternal-newborn nursing. In 1982, she founded Rinehart and Associates Nursing Consultants. For the past 26 years, she and her associates have worked with nursing graduates and schools of nursing to assist graduates to pass the National Council Licensure Exam for Nursing. She has also worked as a curriculum consultant with faculty to improve test construction. Ms. Rinehart has served as a convention speaker throughout the southeastern United States and as a reviewer of medical-surgical and obstetric texts. She has co-authored materials used in seminars presented by Rinehart and Associates Nursing Review.

 

Dr. Diann Sloan received an Associate Degree in Nursing from Northeast Mississippi Community College, a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Mississippi, and a Master of Science degree in Nursing from Mississippi University for Women. In addition to her nursing degrees, she holds a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from Georgia State University and a Doctor of Philosophy in Counselor Education, with minors in both Psychology and Educational Psychology, from Mississippi State University. She has completed additional graduate studies in healthcare administration at Western New England College and the University of Mississippi. Dr. Sloan has taught pediatric nursing, psychiatric mental health nursing, and medical-surgical nursing in both associate degree and baccalaureate nursing programs. As a member of Rinehart and Associates Nursing Review, Dr. Sloan has conducted test construction workshops for faculty and nursing review seminars for both registered and practical nurse graduates. She has co-authored materials used in the item-writing workshops for nursing faculty and Rinehart and Associates Nursing Review. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau nursing honor society.

 

Clara Hurd received an Associate Degree in Nursing from Northeast Mississippi Community College in Booneville, Mississippi (1975). Her experiences in nursing are clinically based, having served as a staff nurse in medical-surgical nursing. She has worked as an oncology, intensive care, orthopedic, neurological, and pediatric nurse. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of North Alabama in Florence, Alabama, and her Master of Science degree in Nursing from the Mississippi University for Women in Columbus, Mississippi. Ms. Hurd is a certified nurse educator. She currently serves as a nurse educator consultant and an independent contractor. Ms. Hurd has taught in both associate degree and baccalaureate degree nursing programs. She was a faculty member of Mississippi University for Women; Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tennessee; Tennessee State University in Nashville, Tennessee; and Northeast Mississippi Community College. Ms. Hurd joined Rinehart and Associates in 1993. She has worked with students in preparing for the National Council Licensure Exam and with faculty as a consultant in writing test items. Ms. Hurd has also been a presenter at nursing conventions on various topics, including itemwriting  for nursing faculty. Her primary professional goal is to prepare the student and graduatefor excellence in the delivery of healthcare.

I passed my NCLEX

I did very well in class, but this book filled in a lot of gaps in certain subjects. This is the comprehensive version but it isn't so detailed that it makes you feel like you're just going through your nursing textbook again. I felt as though it had just the right information to help me link disorder with diagnostic with treatments/medications. The CD that comes with the book has a good system to help you learn why you're answering question wrong or right. I'd recommend this book for sure, just read it before doing the CD, I did it backwards and it made the CD much harder... I passed my NCLEX in 85 questions in little over an hour.

I initially tried the kindle sample for this book after seeing a fellow classmate with it. I was on the fence about whether to buy it because my NCLEX-PN date was quickly approaching. After reading the sample, I decided that it would be worth purchasing, and that I would buy it in the book format so that it was easier to do the questions at the end of the chapters and the practice quizzes. I purchased it on 1/5/15 and was scheduled to take the boards on 1/24/15. I highly recommend this book! It's like the cliff notes version of what you need to know for the boards. The book said to allow for at least 2 weeks to study, which I did. I tried to do a chapter a night for review, but sometimes did more since some chapters are shorter than others. The tear out sheet was also helpful for last minute reviews as I was waiting to take the boards. I passed the NCLEX on my first try with 85 questions (which is the minimum number of questions). I will be purchasing the NCLEX-RN when I am ready to take those boards.

I brought this book 8/31/14 the book came early .... I studying the day I recieve it which was 9/3/14...this book fit perfectly in my purse it went everywhere with me, I took my Nclex-pn on 11/21/14 and passed. This book has great tips it get to the point and gives great break down on symptoms of diseases, labs, and treatments. It comes with a whole bunch of questions I like their practice questions because in some of the other nclex books/cd-rom the same questions are repeated over and over again and you start to memorize them instead of learning why this is the rational.

How to Catch Santa by Jean Reagan and Lee Wildish is such a fun read and perfect for children who believe. Filled with colorful images it explores how to catch Santa on Christmas Eve. What will you do if you catch him? Do you have questions? It shares how to listen for Santa and how to hunt for clues that he has been there For example, add glitter to a letter you leave for Santa, or place carrots outside for the reindeer. The book is for readers ages 4 to 8 but is perfect for reading to the little ones this holiday season. The colorfully illustrated images will hold their attention and giggles are sure to ensue. Geared to spark the imagination it is sure to lead to questions and a fun family discussion. I would not be surprised if this became a family favorite. Sure to bring delight!

This is a great step by step description of all the best ways and tricks to catch ol' St. Nick!

Told in an informal, "how-to" style, two kids give us some great things to think about such as "What questions would you ask Santa if/when you catch him?" Would you want to give him anything (a nose warmer for cold sleigh rides, for example)? There are also some ideas on how you might be able to capture the jolly old man- give him a really tricky riddle so he has to wake you up to get the answer or bake him cookies and leave them in your room.

I love the young, innocent, and excited voice that this book uses. It is sure to bring delight to young and old alike (and will no doubt inspire some Santa catching in your household).

Slade Carmichael can’t wait for the mate-dreaming to start so he get started on the next chapter of his life in this sizzling paranormal romance.

Charm and sizzle draw the reader into this passionate romance as Gretchen decides that being mated to a tiger might not be so bad after all. The characters are strong, charming and full of steamy desires as their attraction heats up the pages and their feisty natures send sparks flying in every direction and quite a few chuckles in this fast paced, smooth flowing and well written plot that capture the imagination with lots of excitement and passion.

Once again, I was beyond charmed by this Saber-tooth tiger pride although I have to say I am really looking forward to reading Caleb’s story and finding just who he gets matched up with.

I was given a ACR to read and give my honest opinion

This is a FANTASTIC storyline R.E. has again given us great entertainment I was hooked, charmed and reeled in from the first paragraph of this Saber-tooth tiger pride series and it gets better and better. Ms. Butler is a fabulous storyteller, she makes you feel as you are a character in the story. The description feels so real as if you have stayed multiple times in the hotel. The storyline is one that continues to compels you to keep turning page after page until you are finish with the story. Also I love when the story keeps you smiling and laughing as you read. The story is also mind-blowing, charming, fascinating and steamy hot as it draws you into this passionate romance. The characters are strong, captivating, sensual, attractive and full of your steamy fantasies as their chemistry heats and burns the pages. Their natures are witty, fiesty and do the sparks fly. The plot is fast paced but flows smooth and is well written. As I said there is a few laughs that will capture your imagination with lots of passion. The excitement of the characters dialogue is alluring, fetching and charismatic.

Slade Carmichael is andimspating his mate-dreaming to start now his brother has found his mate. But as is catch sight of Gretchen he shifts because he sense his mate. Gretchen decides that being mated to a tiger isn't so bad as a matter fact it's all what's she has been looking for. Now Slade can get started on the next chapter of his life in this sizzling awesome paranormal romance.

Oh You can not help but love R.e Butler books!. She is an amazing writer!. I have so much fun reading her books!. She has such an awesome sense of humor it shows in her writing!. This book is one of the examples!. The story line is funny and sweet and quirky!. This series is about four siblings Alaric,Slade,Galen and Lia who are on a quest to find their true mates. The siblings are Saber tooth tiger shifters they are the last of their kind. They Joined the National werefighting Association NWFA to travel to find their mates. When they stop in at the town of Belle Terra Alaric found his mate in human Aubrey. Aubrey is the Sister of the towns Master Vampire Caleb. Aubrey works at Calebs Supernatural hotel and lives there. So after her and Alaric mate she lines up for all of them to stay at the hotel. This is where Slade meets his Feisty mate werewolf Gretchen who is Aubrey's Bf. When Slade gets an eye full of his mate he passes out lol. Then when he comes to he can not stop his shift into his tiger!. So now they have a Saber tooth Tiger in the hotel lobby lol. As I said R.e has an amazing sense of humor!. Now that the two older brothers found their mates its time for Galen to find his. Normally they have dreams of their mate that gives them hints to their true mate is , but all Galen dreams about is the colors Pink and Gold lol. You will so love this sweet and funny five star plus plus Romance!
